Since the end of 2023, I, Brigit, have been running our B&B.
After the death of my mother-in-law, the newly built apartment in our farm became available for her. The question was, how do we want to fill this?
Even while making plans for this apartment, running a B&B had occurred to me. After arranging the necessary permit and creating the website and registering with various booking channels, the rental could start! And it works out very well!
I especially enjoy receiving and speaking to the guests and find it educational. Especially the very different reasons why people come to stay with us. You also learn about your own environment by talking to the guests, very interesting!
And it is nice to be able to share our beautiful place with more people in this way. We hope to see you soon at our address in Deurne!
Residence Riet 10
Since the end of 2023 I live with my partner Hans in this beautiful farm. He is the 3rd generation of the Van Lier family who now lives here and owns the building. His grandparents probably came to live here in 1926, perhaps a little earlier, because the eldest Wim, Hans' father, was born here in 1926 and never left. We ourselves lived in Arnhem / Oosterbeek for almost 10 years, where my roots lie. But the Deurnesche land was calling ;-).
We also have some animals running around: a few chickens, 2 cats and the dog Beau, who is quite senior by now. He has been living at number Riet 10 since 2015, previously with Hans' mother, who he looked after well.
